According to Home Design Central, some of the top features that buyers look for in their new home are livability, a flexible floorplan, and easy maintenance. The ease of an open floor plan enables a homeowner to easily entertain and substitute rooms to function for a purpose that suites their individual needs. Large walk-in closets and storage space are also a necessity. A new home that features "bonus spaces" offer great value to a homebuyer, contributing to the flexible floorplan.
